ARCHITECTURAL GLASS & SCULPTURE
STAINED GLASS IN SECULAR SETTINGS

The art of stained glass has been part of architectural design for centuries, and light fracturing through glass in vivid colours naturally led to such glazing systems being used in places of worship. Helen Whittaker uses the same rich colours, geometric designs, glazing, and fine painting techniques to create stained glass designs for private commissions and public artworks. Drawing inspiration both from the ancient and the modern, Helen demonstrates that stained glass is an artistic medium which works equally well in an ecclesiastical or a secular setting.
