Helen Whittaker is an expert in the design and making of stained glass windows; her figurative glass painting is highly acclaimed. Medieval principles and traditional techniques are fundamental to her new window designs, employed within a modern context and combined with striking geometric principles. Helen's new designs for church windows and secular buildings concentrate on the transmission of light by combining colour, texture, paint and expressive lead work to create a sparkling, jewelled effect similar to that achieved by medieval glaziers.
