The art of stained glass has been part of architectural design for centuries, and light streaming through glass of vivid colours is a feature of many places of worship. Helen Whittaker uses these same rich colours, combined with geometric principles, to create striking stained glass designs encompassing layers of meaning within pattern and structure. Drawing inspiration both from the ancient and the modern, Helen demonstrates that stained glass is an artistic medium which works equally well in an ecclesiastical or a secular setting.
